One ticket, five continents

The Whole World, Cleverly Miniaturized

Step through the gates and the planet shrinks to a pleasant day’s walk: Paris’ Eiffel Tower rises 108 metres over a lagoon, Cairo’s pyramids guard a desert corner, Angkor Wat hides in the trees, and Sydney’s Opera House catches the light across the water. The replicas are built at 1:1, 1:5 and 1:15 scales with an attention to detail that surprises even seasoned travelers.

But this is no open-air museum — it is a full theme park. Ride the rapids through the Grand Canyon, skate through the -5°C Alps Ice and Snow World in midsummer, hop the sightseeing train between continents, then stay for the evening carnival parade, light shows and fireworks around World Square. Travelers rate it 4.6/5 across more than 46,000 Trip.com reviews — a family favorite and a photographer’s playground.

  • Stand under five continents of landmarks in one 6–8 hour loop
  • Cool off in the -5°C Alps Ice and Snow World — even in July
  • Stay for the night parade, light show and illuminated Eiffel Tower

We brought the kids along. We originally booked a 6 pm bullet train to leave Shenzhen, but it was so much fun that we changed our tickets to 10 pm. It’s super suitable for young children, and there are even floats at night. The kids were completely mesmerized. Kids these days are so lucky!

The location is close to the metro, and it’s a walkable distance to a mall for eating places. The ticket is a little bit expensive but it pays off with many games. The sanitary condition of the lavatories needs to be improved. The environment is good and worth going with family and friends.

A very interesting park! There are plenty of beautiful places here just to stroll around and look at. On top of that there are lots of rides you can go on, and very many cafés with cuisines from all over the world at inexpensive prices. In the evening there’s a carnival parade and light shows. Everything is very though…

It was a fun way to spend an afternoon. A little bit run down, but it’s fine. I enjoyed it and found the exhibits pretty impressive. Not much shade in some areas, so bring sun protection on days that require it.

Highly recommend, such a fun place to visit. Around the world in 8 hours. If you want to see it all, take your time. I only went during the day, as in the evening it would be too busy for me. But I enjoyed it to the max and if I ever visit Shenzhen again I will probably go again, just to see if I missed anything.

Quick answers

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the opening hours of Window of the World?

The park is open every day from 9:30 AM to 9:30 PM. Tickets are sold until 8:30 PM and admission ends at 8:30 PM, so arrive with at least a couple of hours to spare if you want the evening parade and light shows.

How much do Window of the World tickets cost?

Online deals start from US$17.99 for the evening admission ticket, with full-day adult tickets from about US$32.98. Children up to 1.2 m and seniors aged 70+ enter free, and family and combo tickets are also available on Trip.com.

How long should I spend at Window of the World?

The recommended sightseeing time is half a day to a full day. Covering the park’s eight zones at a relaxed pace takes roughly 6–8 hours, and staying after dark rewards you with the carnival parade, light show and fireworks.

How do I get to Window of the World by metro?

Take Shenzhen Metro Line 1 (Luobao Line) or Line 2 (Shekou Line) to Window of the World Station (世界之窗站) — the park gate is right outside the station exits. From Hong Kong, ride the East Rail/MTR to Lo Wu or Futian checkpoint and continue on Line 1.

Is Window of the World suitable for young children?

Yes — it is one of Shenzhen’s most family-friendly attractions (rated in Trip.com’s 2026 Asia 100 family-friendly picks). Kids love the rides, the mini train, the Ice and Snow World and, above all, the evening float parade. Strollers can be rented at the gate.

Can I see the whole world park in one visit?

You can cover the highlights in one long day, but many travelers return a second time to catch everything — one Trip.com reviewer wrote they had to go back twice to see it all. A full-day ticket paired with an evening session is the best value plan.
